Built in 1475 by the Abbot of Glastonbury to house wealthy pilgrims, it is a good example of medieval domestic architecture. The Abbot's house has been repurposed into a fine pub for many years. Good selection of beers and a good menu. Plenty of seating inside, extending beyond the bars. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I didn't stay this time but I would love to...next time in Glastonbury. I just had food downstairs and food was great, especially chips . Love architecture with history You can eat inside or patio in the back.

Fantastic old building, really central. There was a slight problem with our booking which wasn't their fault but Shane went out of his way to sort it out. The hotel is fantastic, loved the atmosphere, such a lovely old place. The women at breakfast were a great laugh, really enjoyed it, kind people x

Beautiful historic lisited building, to be fair some tlc wouldn't go amiss, l would hope the owners/local authority will take care of this jewel in Glastonburys crown. Stayed for 3 nights, all the staff were lovely, friendly & hard working, bearing the obvious shortage of staff issues with good nature & humour. Looking forward to my next visit

I booked George & Pilgrim’s for Sunday lunch for my family (12 people) to celebrate my mum’s birthday. I booked ahead and was able to preorder meals ahead of the visit and the staff were very caring re our needs (allergies etc). On the day, we had a lovely table by the window. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. The building is old and has so much history so it’s a great experience to sit in. Location is brilliant as it’s in the centre of Glastonbury. Accessible for prams and wheelchairs. Food came out quickly and was well presented and tasty. Staff were very attentive. We had a great experience, thank you. We didn’t stay in the rooms.

WE LOVE YOU GEORGE AND PILGRIM’S INN! Me and my sister frequently travel from Bristol to visit Glastonbury for a quiet and reflective weekend away and the George is always the place we go. The staff, food, aura and service is impeccable every single time. We feel safe, looked after and well fed by the time we leave! I couldn’t recommend this place enough, thank you to all the staff who make everyone’s stay just that bit special.
